The American Culinary Federation is the voice of culinary professionals. Through this wonderful organization I met people who have made a commitment to changing the lives of children throughout the world.

Dear Chef Ohling,

Your seminar on professional fund raising for The Chef And The Child Foundation, presented at the 1994 National American Culinary Federation Convention, was well-received by all attendees, and indeed, the highlight of CCF events. Many comments have been received, with requests for a repeat performance.

Thank you for all of your professional expertise shared, and for the handouts. Unfortunately, I did not get a handout. If you would forward me one, I would duplicate it for others. I learned some great basics, and probably for me, the best was “removing barriers”. Obviously this concept works in other management areas, and I’ve been quoting you nonstop.

CCF and I thank you for a professional job, for insight and for your candor. I’m so glad we could spend a few minutes trying to realign our ideas to the same end, which is service to the community, and helping to end hunger. I have not begun to do the follow-up necessary with Nutrition From The Culinary View but it is on my desk.
